Aside from productions involved with school, Chris has been working on amateur shows since the age of fifteen. The first of these was his involvement with Hailsham Theatres. For four years, he helped out with their annual community pantomime initially in the local community centre and in later years at the Hailsham Pavilion. This same venue was also host to a live charity concert by a local band Hush, which Chris 'busked' the lighting for. In 2003 he joined the Eastbourne Young Stagers at the Devonshire Park Theatre for their production of Children of Eden. He has since crewed all six of their annual autumn show. In 2005 he also joined the Rattonians to crew their performance of 'Summer Holiday' at the Congress Theatre and helped out the following year with West Side Story. He still helps out with the local societies whenever he can.

When he started university in Southampton, Chris was sure to get involved with the performing societies within the Students' Union. Since then he has worked on countless shows in various roles ranging form general crew, to LX design to Tech Director, very much enjoying every minute of it. So far in three years, he has crewed 17 shows, including producing a two week Edinburgh Fringe run of Alan Ayckbourn's 'Comic Potenial' during the summer of 2008.
